Mr. Jim Griffin

Regional Mobility Authority
Mr. James W. Griffin serves as a Strategic Advisor to the Alamo Regional
Mobility Authority, the local entity responsible for improving mobility by
accelerating needed transportation projects to deliver congestion relief and
enhance the economic vitality of the region.
In this role, Mr. Griffin provides invaluable assistance to the overall design,
development, and implementation of the Alamo RMA tolled lane network.
Mr. Griffin brings over 30 years of professional experience in developing
turnpikes and toll systems to the Alamo RMA.
Mr. Griffin started his professional career within turnpike development with
the Texas Turnpike Authority, the predecessor to the modern day North
Texas Tollway Authority, ultimately becoming CEO of the Turnpike
Authority, prior to the Authority being dissolved by the Texas Legislature.
Mr. Griffin served as interim CEO of the North Texas Tollway Authority
prior to his retirement in 1998, and served as interim CEO of the Texas
Turnpike Authority Division of the Texas Department of Transportation after
the division was established in 1997.
During his career, Mr. Griffin has overseen the successful issuance of $1.73
Billion in turnpike revenue bonds and has extensive experience representing
turnpike authorities before rating agencies, federal and state agencies, large
institutional investors and national and international banks.
Mr. Griffin is a former member of the Board of Directors of the International
Bridge Tunnel and Turnpike Association and continues to remain active
within the turnpike industry.
