Statement by Alamo RMA regarding Advisory issued by Judge Biery
(San Antonio, Texas) –San Antonio – The Alamo Regional Mobility Authority today released the following statement following the issuance of an Advisory Regarding Pending Preliminary Injunction Proceedings by Chief United States District Judge Fred Biery in the ongoing US 281 / Loop 1604 Interchange litigation:
“Today’s advisory from Judge Biery reiterates the pressures and demands currently placed on our federal court system. Given the tremendous matters and issues coming before the court system, we appreciate Judge Biery’s position in taking the necessary time and due diligence to consider the issues before him in this ongoing litigation.
“The Alamo RMA stands behind and supports the 9,600 plus page administrative record filed in support of this needed interchange project, and the over 400 pages of documentation filed in response to the motion for preliminary injunction sought by AGUA and the Save Our Springs Alliance.
“The US 281 / Loop 1604 Interchange project continues to move forward, and we look forward to construction starting to bring traffic relief and to put in place needed environmental protection that does not exist today.
“Within the next two weeks drivers can expect to see construction equipment moving into this area to start work on the interchange, and we will continue to do all we can to keep the community informed each step of the way on this project.
“The community can visit www.AlamoRMA.org for more information and to stay updated.”
