Jim Reed is currently the President of the Medical Foundation of San Antonio. Mr. Reed has over 30 years of experience in public and private sector endeavors, having worked with the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and the American Heart Association.

A few of his current civic involvement activities in San Antonio include serving in leadership roles with a number of organizations, including the Government Personnel Mutual Life Insurance Company, The University of Texas at San Antonio, The Rotary Club of San Antonio, The Texas Alliance of Recreational Organizations, The VIA Advisory Committee, and The United Way of San Antonio & Bexar County.

He is also President of Oak Hills Country Club.

Mr. Reed's previous civic involvement includes chairing The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, serving as President of The Rotary Club of San Antonio, serving on the Salvation Army Advisory Board, the Target ‘90/Goals for San Antonio and the 2001 U.S. Junior Amateur Golf Championship.

He was also the Tri-Chair for the National Conference of Christians and Jews and the president of the Texas Club Association and Texas Alliance of Recreational Organizations.

A few of his numerous awards and achievements include the Alumni Achievement Award and Who's Who in American Universities and Colleges. He has also received the Jaycees’s Outstanding Young Men of America award.

In San Antonio, he was presented the National Jewish Humanitarian Award and has been named in Who's Who in the Southwest.

Mr. Reed is a native from Montgomery City, MO, attended Westminster College in Fulton, MO and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Cum Laude) from the University of Illinois, and the Bell Advanced Management Program.

He is married to Katie N. Reed, a member of the Board of Trustees for the Northside Independent School District, and has two children Phillip and Holly.

Mr. Reed chairs the Alamo RMA Planning Committee, and serves as the Alamo RMA Board Representative for the San Antonio Bexar County Metropolitan Planning Organization and the San Antonio Mobility Coalition.
