Mr. Robert Thompson
Board Member
Alamo Regional Mobility Authority


Robert Thompson is a former member of the City Council of San Antonio, having served from 1979 until 1992. While a member of the City Council Mr. Thompson focused on growth and infrastructure patterns, transportation issues, and the implementation of the Edwards Aquifer protection strategies.

Mr. Thompson is currently an adjutant faculty member at the University of Texas San Antonio teaching Environmental Law and is a practicing trial attorney.

Mr. Thompson served his country from 1963 until his retirement in 1992 as an engineer and nuclear weapons design pilot with the United States Air Force, and as a fighter pilot for the Texas Air National Guard.

Mr. Thompson has a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University; a Masters of Aerospace Operations Management from the University of Southern California; a Doctor of Law from St. Mary's University School of Law and attended the Air Force Flight School in Lubbock, TX. Mr. Thompson is married with three children and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Thompson sits on the Alamo RMA Planning Committee.
